The second Frenchwoman Clara Burel had a bizarre and above all losing match against Jasmine Paolini (TDS 10): 6/1 6/7 6/0.

A bit the same scenario for Kristina Mladenovic who cannot achieve miracles in all matches, she lost this time 6/7 6/2 6/1 against the Swiss Viktoria Golubic, not really brilliant this season.

Friday July 29: The 1/4 finals

Iga Swiatek (POL) vs Caroline Garcia (FRA): 1/6 6/1 4/6

What an impressive match from the Frenchwoman. From the first ball, she decides to attack the world No. 1, especially in return, and will put her completely under water during the first set.

In front of her home crowd, the world No. 1 reacted in the second round when Garcia made too many mistakes. But Caro will wake up in the third round and regain his level of the first set.

Drunk by the powerful and precise blows of the Frenchwoman, Iga Swiatek can no longer find solutions and gives up her serve when she is trailing 4/3. Garcia then serves for the match but the boss does not let herself be done and returns to 5/4.

Concentrated and serene, feeling her rival within her reach, Caroline Garcia continues to pound the opposing court and concludes this match, with a new winning return with a forehand on Swiatek’s second ball, her big weak point.

Jasmine Paolini (ITA) vs Viktoria Golubic (SUI): 1/6 6/2 6/2

58th in the world, excellent on clay, the Italian put on a set to settle before punishing the Swiss.

Petra Martic (CRO) vs Katerina Baindl (UKR) : 6/1 3/6 4/6

The 28-year-old Ukrainian, WTA 190, will remain as the good and big surprise of the week. Thanks to her will and her mind, she eliminates the TDS 8

Laura Pigossi (BRE) vs. Ana Bogdan (ROU) : 1/6 1/6

Match folded in a few minutes by the Romanian player, ranked 108th in the WTA.

Saturday July 30: The 1/2 finals

Caroline Garcia vs. Jasmine Paolini: 6/1 6/2

After her intense and successful match against the world No. 1, the Frenchwoman, in total confidence, atomized her Italian rival and became the favorite for the title.

Katerina Baindl vs. Ana Bogdan : 5/7 5/7

Eliminated in qualifying, drafted as a lucky loser, the Ukrainian will not regret her week, despite her defeat against a Romanian who is also not used to such a party.
