Monday July 25

On a good dynamic, the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas takes out Carlos Taberner (ESP) in the first round 6/4 6/3. We also note the victory of Federico Coria (ARG) against his Chilean neighbor Cristian Garin 6/4 7/5.

Filip Misolic and Jurij Rodionov, two locals invited for the tournament, also pass the 1/16th with victories against Daniel Dutra Silva (BRE) and Hernan Casanova (ARG)

Tuesday July 26

Richard Gasquet, who was playing a trap match against the local Sebastian Ofner, qualified, took the way out by losing: 1/6 7/5 7/5.

Star Dominik Thiem fared much better, blasting Russian Alexander Shevchenko 6/4 6/2.

Pablo Andujar, the former, leaves Lorenzo Sonego, who alternates hot and very cold, 6/4 3/6 7/6 and Pedro Martinez wins against Nicolas Jarry (CHI, guest) 7/6 6/3 .

Wednesday July 27

Busy day with all the 1/8th finals and in particular, for the Austrians, that between Dominik Thiem and Sebastian Ofner with the success of the favorite: 6/2 3/6 6/3.

Filip Misolic, another Austrian, 20 years old, guest, ATP 205, managed the feat of leaving Pablo Andujar 6/4 6/0. Dusan Lajovic takes out the irregular Aslan Karatsev in two sets, while three Spaniards climb in quick succession in the next round.

Thursday July 28: The 1/4 finals

Albert Ramos Vinolas (ESP) vs Pedro Martinez (ESP): 6/4 6/2

Logic respected in this match between Spaniard with a Martinez who did not have a range of blows as complete as his opponent.

Roberto Bautista Agut (ESP) vs. Jiri Lehecka (TCH): 4/6 7/5 7/5

The young Czech, only 20 years old, ATP 68, delivered a big match against a hell of a customer on clay.

Filip Misolic (AUT) vs. Dusan Lajovic (SER): 2/6 7/6 6/3

Disappointed by the defeat of their favourite, the Austrian public smiled again with the feat of their young 20-year-old hope, ranked 205th in the world, who bravely exited his Serbian rival.

Dominik Thiem (AUT) vs. Yannick Hanfmann (GER) : 4/6 6/3 4/6

Despite the support of a very large public, the Austrian was feverish and disappointing, especially in the 3rd round where he will give a huge number of points to his German rival, yet not a thunderbolt of war.

Ranked 140th at the ATP, Hanfmann did not ask for so much. As for Thiem, he has no choice but to continue working, again with the help of Nicolas Massu.

Friday July 29: The 1/2 finals

Albert Ramos vs Vinolas Roberto Bautista Agut: 3/6 6/7

Not really brilliant this season on clay, the experienced Bautista Agut is waiting for one of the last tournaments on his favorite surface to find a final, which he will be favorite, whatever his rival.

Filip Misolic vs Yannick Hanfmann: 6/2 2/6 6/6 suspended

Led 4/1 in the third set, the young Austrian will once again, as in the quarter, make a huge comeback against a dumbfounded German. The match will then be interrupted by rain just before the tie break.

Saturday July 30 / Final

Roberto Bautista Agut vs. Filip Misolic: 6/2 6/2

The incredible Misolic, 205th in the world, experienced so many emotions this week, used so many forces before climbing into the final, that there was not much left in his engine to fight.

Apart from two very good first games, the young Austrian then exploded completely in the face of the regularity found in the Spanish metronome. A vastly superior Bautista Agut who won the 11th trophy of his career, the 2nd this year after Doha and only the 2nd on earth after Stuttgart in 2014.

As for Filip Misolic, he will make a significant leap in the world rankings and will remember this Kitzbuhel 2022 for a long time.
