2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™: sales phase opens on a first-come, first-served basis

With the final draw for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ a few days away, and following the success of the sales phase with random selection procedure, FIFA is preparing to offer supporters an opportunity extra to get tickets for its flagship competition. The remaining tickets after this first phase and the payment period, concluded on Monday, are now on sale on This new sales phase will end on March 29 at 11:00 (CET).

Under the “first come, first served” principle, supporters will be able to confirm their purchase immediately. They are further encouraged to apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment. This is the last opportunity for supporters to reserve their place(s) before the final draw, after which demand should increase as the posters will then be known. Tickets will be available for all matches except the opening match and the final.

Fans around the world will be able to purchase the following types of tickets:

Individual match tickets

  • These tickets are valid for a specific match and available for all matches except the opening match and the final.

Team specific ticket series

  • These tickets are valid for supporters wishing to follow a given team throughout its journey, starting with the three group stage matches.

Series of tickets for four stadiums

  • This new offer, unique due to the size of Qatar, offers supporters the opportunity to attend four matches in four different stadiums on four days in a row.

Accessibility tickets

  • These tickets, available for the three types mentioned above, are valid for supporters with disabilities or reduced mobility, whose constraints require specific spaces and facilities.

In accordance with the ticketing policy implemented by FIFA during the last editions of the FIFA World Cup™, Qatari residents will benefit from exclusive access to tickets (category 4) at special prices starting at QR 40 only.

International visitors will benefit from the compact nature of the competition, which allows easy access to the eight state-of-the-art stadiums without having to fly or change accommodation. During the sales phase following the draw, fans will be able to request tickets for more than one match per day (during the group stage), allowing them to live an absolutely unique experience.

Visa card is the only method of payment accepted for Qatari residents, while other cards are also accepted for supporters coming from abroad. Visa is the preferred payment method for the 2022 World Cup.

Accommodation and Hayya Card (Fan ID)

Once fans have paid for their tickets, they will be able to book their accommodation and apply for their Hayya card, which will act as a permit to enter Qatari territory for international visitors. All spectators, whether residing in Qatar or elsewhere, will also need a Hayya card and a match ticket in order to gain access to the stadiums.
